Dr. Walaszek is Co-Leader of the Outreach, Recruitment, and Education Core with the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. He is a board-certified geriatric psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. His mission is to improve the care of people with Alzheimer’s disease through education of medical students, residents, and clinicians in practice. Dr. Walaszek is Vice Chair for Education and Faculty Development, and Director of Psychiatry Residency Training at the University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry. His clinical practice involves caring for primarily older adults with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and dementia, and their families.
