What inspired you to volunteer your time and talents with the UW Initiative to End Alzheimer’s?

I was invited to serve on the UW Initiative to End Alzheimer’s Board of Visitors by Ann Brewer, immediate past chair of the board, and leapt at the chance! As a caregiver for my parents, with zero knowledge or experience with the disease, I suffered tremendous self-doubt while making many necessary decisions. While I knew resources existed, I didn’t have any idea who to call or what I might ask if someone picked up the phone.

Serving alongside so many dedicated and talented people to help others learn about the disease and support the incredible research and treatments being done at the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute is a true privilege.
