What inspired you to volunteer your time and talents with the UW Initiative to End Alzheimer’s?
“‘Right in our own backyard.’ That’s how I describe the UW Initiative to End Alzheimer’s – acknowledged globally as a premier leader in Alzheimer’s research and clinical care. Having personally lived the daily life of a family dementia caregiver and professionally broadcasting the unfolding facts about Alzheimer’s and related dementias for over 25 years, I am honored to serve on the IEA Board of Visitors and have a role in communicating how UW is on the world stage in seeking answers to preventing, treating and eventually finding a cure for Alzheimer’s. As a UW Alum, I couldn’t be more proud!”
