Dr. Sanjay Asthana is an internationally recognized physician-scientist with expertise in Alzheimer’s disease and aging research. He received his medical degree from the University of Delhi in India and completed his residency at the University of Saskatchewan School of Medicine. He is the Associate Dean for Gerontology and Director of the Wisconsin ADRC. Additionally, he serves as Chief of the UW Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology and Director of the Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) at the Madison VA Medical Center. Funded continuously by NIH for over 22 years, Dr. Asthana has pioneered the field of estrogen treatment for age-related cognitive changes and conducted several prominent clinical trials.
