Maria Mora Pinzon, MD, MS, discussed cultural implications of dementia care for Latinos in Wisconsin in a recent interview with Milwaukee’s NPR. The United Community Center (UCC) Latino Geriatric Center in Milwaukee offers an on-site health clinic staffed with medical professionals who speak Spanish for people with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, and the center received a 2021 Community Impact grant to expand service in Milwaukee’s surrounding counties as the Latino Dementia Health Regional Consortium.
